SSP4095

The SSP4095 is a 5V-input, 1.2A-max boost-mode charge management IC for 3-cell Li-ion battery packs in series. SSP4095 integrates a power MOSFET in an asynchronous switching topology requiring very few external components, shrinking solution size and BOM cost. The boost switching charger operates at 500kHz with up to 90% conversion efficiency. Four feedback loops govern the charge cycle: constant-current (CC), constant-voltage (CV), die-temperature regulation, and an adaptive input-current loop that prevents adapter collapse and works with any adapter. SSP4095 integrates a 24V OVP function, so the input port safely tolerates up to 24V transients and charging is disabled above 6V input.

SSP4090

The SSP4090 is a 5V-input, 1.5A-max boost-mode charge management IC for 2-cell Li-ion battery packs in series. SSP4090 integrates a power MOSFET in an asynchronous switching topology requiring very few external components, shrinking solution size and BOM cost. SSP4090 integrates a 24V OVP function, so the input port safely tolerates up to 24V transients and charging is disabled above 6V input, making it ideal for USB-powered applications.

SSP4056H

The SSP4056H is a complete constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger IC for single-cell Li-ion batteries with high input voltage and high charge current capability. The input withstands up to 28V and provides 6.8V automatic over-voltage protection with up to 1A charge current. The minimum operating input is 3.8V, enabling customers to dynamically adjust the input voltage to lower charge dissipation and improve overall efficiency. The internal PMOS architecture and built-in anti-reverse-charge path eliminate the need for an external isolation diode. Thermal feedback regulates the charge current automatically, limiting die temperature under high-power or high-ambient-temperature conditions. SSP4056H offers 4.15V / 4.2V / 4.35V float-voltage options; the charge current is set with a single external resistor. When the battery reaches the float voltage the current tapers, and charging terminates when the current drops to one-tenth of the set value.
